Adopt A Neighborhood 
Program

Adopt-A-Neighborhood program is part of a litter-reduction campaign designed to remove trash from neighborhoods, city roads, and recreational parks. This program enables volunteers, businesses, and families to adopt a section of a city street.

All information necessary to apply is found on this page. If you do not wish to adopt your own street you are more than welcomed to join us at City Hall Tuesday and Saturday mornings at 8 a.m. for weekly cleanups.

Who May Apply?

  • Individuals

  • Service Organizations

  • Business

  • Families

Adoptable Streets

  • City of Pomona streets

  • City of Pomona parks

  • Streets not already adopted by another group

Required Commitments

  • Volunteer to adopt half a mile of a city street or city parks.

  • Beautify a minimum of five times per year.

  • Commitment for a one year period.

Volunteer Information

As a volunteer, you will receive: 

  • A safety orientation, and contract form from the coordinator.

  • Safety Equipment including gloves, trash bags and other necessary materials.

  • An adopt the street signs located at either end of the adopted section announcing your sponsorship.

  • An opportunity to contribute to a community beautification.

  • Recognition of a job well done.
